Form 8283 missing for Turbotax Deluxe 2025

I filed my taxes after verifying no issues. Got rejected by both the fed and state.  says I need to include Form 8283 for noncash donations over $500. I searched forms and my file does not contain this form. I even made sure I updated to latest updates in Turbotax.   I saw something that said this would be availble Janauary 31, 2026.   Guess what. It's not fixed. now what

A bunch of folks have the same problem...it's being looked at.

But with ItsDeductible gone, it appears TTX has done a major rewrite of this section, and messed it up badly.

Thus, check every Friday after the normal weekly update to see if it's fixed.

BUT

I suspect it may take 2 or 3.......... maybe even 4 more weeks for them to get it properly operational....but that's just me guessing.

When I actually got a person on the phone yesterday,  they were told to tell me that the 8283 problem would be fixed today, but I could tell that it wouldn't happen.

If, as you say this will take a month to fix, I feel like I am better off buying different software and attempting to do my return through them.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 35 years, I have been incredibly loyal to Turbo Tax, even when I had the option to do my return for free as an employee of H&R Block.  I  think this is going to be what finally makes me choose another company in the future.

It's one thing to be unprepared with software, but it's quite another to lie to your customers and lead them on.

Timing is me, just guessing.

I don't think TTX is lying....it's more a matter of front-line people not knowing right away how bad the software group assigned to that section, messed it up.   

Usually, 90% of the time it's the users not understanding either the tax rules, or simply where to navigate to.....but this is different, and I think (desperately hope??) "some" folks in the know  at TTX are just barely realizing how bad this area was messed up, and can initiate some major re-programming action.

OK!!!!, this morning's update  (1 February) "seems" to have fixed it....(at least for the desktop software) And a weekend update is unusual.

BUT

 You may have to go thru the entries again if you haven't entered addresses yet for certain charities.

But look closely, I have no idea if it covers all of your situations.

they fixed it today! It was definitely not fixed yesterday .. but the rather large update did fix the missing form today.

The update worked for me. 

Form 8283 populated for all of my Non-Cash Charitable Deductions.  I resubmitted to both the Federal and State and both of my return were accepted.

Now, I play the waiting game for my refunds.
