Form 1041 for Estates

I am trying to see if I need to file for 1041 for my mother-in-law  who recently passed away.  All of her income is reported on 1099-R and receives distributions monthly> I am anticipating that these distributions will end with her passing.  Form 1041 instructions seems to imply to need to be filed for income earned after the date of her passing.  Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes, if the estate receives $600 or more in income, then a 1041 is required to be filed.
