When I originally filed my taxes in July it was rejected due to me claiming my son. My ex-wife accidently claimed him for 2019 even though it wasn't her year to do that. She filed an amendment showing that she is not claiming him for 2019 and was told it would take 12-16 weeks to process. I've attempted to "fix my return" and refile multiple times but it keeps getting rejected and I assume that's due to it not being processed with the IRS yet, but now when I login to my TurboTax account I do not see an option to "Fix My Return".

Sorry dear ... but you got bad information. Even if she amends her return your ONLY option is to mail in the return. A SS# can only go thru the efile system ONCE ... amending the return will not reset that rule.
And Efiling is now closed so you have to print and mail your return. And there was nothing to "fix" on your return. Yes her amended return will take 16 weeks to process, actually even longer due to Covid-19 this year but it won't affect your return. And won't clear the ssn so you can use it. You didn't have to wait for her Amended return to process. You should have mailed your return right away since you have to print and mail it.
