Hi, I am 2 years behind on my US 1040 filings, and I need to file now, in Feb-2023 for tax years 2020 and 2021.
Can I still do it with Turbotax online for those years?
I usually file with TaxACT, and I am too late to file with them for 2020, hoping I can with TurboTax.
Thank you, Stefan

Since you can't complete a prior year online in the cheapest version, you will have to purchase the CD/Download. Our website will have the products available.

No, not online.
To file a new prior-year return, you'll need to purchase and download that year's TurboTax software for PC or Mac, as TurboTax Online and the mobile app are only available for the current tax year. (Note: Returns for tax years 2018 and earlier are no longer eligible to be filed through TurboTax.)
Prior-year returns must be paper-filed, as e-filing is no longer available for them. We'll walk you through that process when you get to the File section in the software.
After installing the software, open it and follow the onscreen instructions to file your return.
OK, thanks, so I am looking at TurboTax software, and it looks like the cheapest option is Deluxe version for $80 USD, which is really expensive.
I am a American ex-pat living outside of USA, and only need to file the Federal form, for $0 tax paid, so I dont need all the Deluxe features.
Is there any other option I can do here? Other than just filling out the printed 1040 forms manually and mailing them in? ( which I do every year, anyway )
Thank you, Stefan
