Hello,
I only want to file my federal taxes. TurboTax automatically filled in my state taxes from my W2, but I don't want to file my state taxes because my employer made a mistake on the state portion that needs to be corrected. I've tried to file only my federal, but I never see the option to do so. It just keeps telling me to fix my start form, which I can't because my employer left off the state ID. Is there a way to only submit federal with an error on the state portion? It won't let me delete the state taxes or start over.

Have you already paid for TurboTax? If so, you will not be able to delete the state form and you will need to submit the state form that contains the wrong information. Once the return is accepted or rejected by the IRS (and you have the correct information), you can then amend it to make the needed changes.
If you have not paid yet, you should be able to delete the state form by following the directions here: How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?
Also, this help article discusses how you can file only your federal return: Can I file my federal taxes now and skip my state for later?
" you will need to submit the state form that contains the wrong information"
That's a horrible way to treat the TurboTax-using taxpayer. who would pay for that ?
