I just finished filing my 2022 taxes with turbotax, and.....frankly one thing that has been rankling me lately is the "Choose your Bank" when filing your 1099-INT or whatever. Our family has been using Citizens Bank ever since our last move saw us settling down in New Mexico, and every time i went to file my taxes or when my father filed his taxes, Citizens Bank has never shown on there as a valid quick-pick option and has us filing it in manually. Sure there's wells fargo and a bevy of other banking choices, but we only got like......i wanna say four bank choices in town, two are non standard choices, one is Wells Fargo, and one is Citizens Bank.
My feedback submission request (since the feedback button on my intuit account page isn't working at all), is just one thing: please include Citizens Bank as a valid "Choose your Bank" option instead of having us enter it in manually

If your bank is not partnered with TurboTax to allow importing data into software, you have to key in the information yourself. Perhaps the bank itself chose not to partner with TurboTax.
Yep, there are hundreds of banks all over the US that do not have the1099-INT import files that TTX can access.
The bank involved must create a special tax file for computer import...and that file is not formatted like the 1099-INT paper or PDF that you get from the bank....it must have a special structure. And, the bank has to provide a computer access point for TTX to access the file too. Not all banks are set up to do so, or may not want to do so.
