Error 590 when tyring to connect to Wells Fargo

I tried many times in the last few days, and always receive the following message:

"Something unexpected happened and we can’t connect to Wells Fargo Bank

Try again in a few hours. (590)"

 

Is it TurboTax software issue or Wells Fargo's issue?

Do you have symbols in your Wells Fargo password? I know some have had to change their Wells Fargo password to eliminate symbols and then it imports correctly.

No, I don't have special character in the password. Actually, it seems like that the login is OK, but the error occurs when transferrin data. 

Any other suggestions?

If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser. Turning off pop-up blockers sometimes helps.

If you use the Brave browser, you have to turn off the Brave Shields.

Error 590 when tyring to connect to Wells Fargo

Please help. I have the same issue and receive the same error. I confirmed with Wells Fargo that their systems are functioning properly. I have no pop-up browsers or other security installed. Tried on both Chrome and Edge browsers and have the same results. I also have no special characters in my WF login. I believe this is a TT software/network issue. Appreciate your help!

Error 590 when tyring to connect to Wells Fargo

I am having the same issue with Error 590 trying to connect to wells Fargo. I called Wells Fargo and they assure me that's is not a problem on their end.  I tried different browsers and even different computer in different locations.  I also tried on a Mac and  a MS PC.   What other tricks do you have to offer?

Some financial institutions require that you enable 'third party access' in your Account Settings in order to import. 

 

Although you've tried different computers and different browsers, be sure that all anti-virus programs are disabled temporarily (even modem). 

 

Make sure both Windows and TurboTax are updated.

 

If you're using TurboTax Online, be sure to clear your Cache and Cookies between attempts.

 

Since we can't see your return in this forum, nor your particular computer configuration, it's difficult to offer advice other than what has worked for other users.  

 

If you Contact TurboTax Support, they can access your computer for more help.

Same problem here, tried many times wirh Safari and Firefox, this is a TT issue not Wells Fargo. I will send all revelent configutation info if that will help otheers with this issue.

When you type inn Wells Fargo on the import page, there are two entities shows.  Double-Click on yours, and you should get the Wells Fargo Sign In page (they are different depending which account you choose).

Same issue here (Turbotax desktop).

login to wells fargo was success, but then got error of code 590.

If you're getting Error 590 when trying to import financial data, here's some tips reported by other users to resolve this:

 

  • Turn off all anti-virus software (including modem)
  • If using TurboTax Online, close the program, and clear your Cache and Cookies
  • Make sure both Windows and TurboTax are updated (if using TurboTax Desktop) and run as Administrator
  • Use the C drive to install/run/save TurboTax files
  • Make sure your financial institution allows 'third party access'
