I'm being told to upgrade because I paid excess Social Security tax. Based on my research about excess social security tax, this is impossible, as I did not earn more than $132,900 in wages, or pay more than $7,960.80 in social security taxes. I have triple-checked all of my W2s/Box 4 withholdings.

Is the amount of your total SS taxes withheld in box 4 of all your W-2's greater, even by $0.01 cent, than 6.2% of the total of all box 3 wages on your W-2's?
Yes, by $0.01! I also just found your answer on another post from May 2. Thank you for the help.
