I have two W2's, from the same employer, but everything is different in each of the W2's.

Numbers 1-14 are different in each W2. And even employer ID number is different in each W2.

Enter them separately. Sometimes, an employer will change owners, or even payroll processing in the middle of the year. When this happens, separate W-2s are issued. It needs to be treated as if they were separate companies (even though they are not). But your final numbers (income and tax withheld), should match what your employer paid and withheld for your for the entire year when you enter them in separately.

I input these W2'S separately, and I showed a lower income from Federal and State than when I only input one of the W2'S. Why would my return lower when the other W2 was added?

I can't see your return, so I can only guess at what's going on. Is it possible that you are overwriting the first W2 with the information from the second? Double-check: enter one w-2 completely, and when you get to the end, click the "Add Another W2" button, and then add the second. They should add up (unless you accidentally hit a minus sign or something).

One of the W2's has wages of $3,000 and the other one's wages is $1,000. So all the information is different. All the boxes are different. So i added these W2's one after the other. But i noticed when i added the first W2, i had a federal refund of $840, and state refund of $341.As I finished adding the 2nd W2, my refund for federal and state had gone down about $200. What do you mean by them "adding up"??

I might have misunderstood what you were saying. You said that when you put the two together you were showing a lower income. That was not possible: two W2s will show more income (instead of $3000, you will have $4000). As far as why adding the other W2 (with $1000) is affecting your refund, that depends. If no tax was withheld from that W2, and depending on your other income, it is possible that your tax refund is lowered by that much. In this public forum we don't have access to your tax return to know for sure.

Oh, yes. One of the W2s had BLANK for for #'s in boxes 15-20. And when I finished with that specific W2, the website asked me to double check and make sure these boxes were in fact blank.

Those things can affect it for sure, but just curious: are there any codes in box 12 by any chance? If so, what are they?
