I am using the newest Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.2 and Downloaded TT-Premier. Last year I was able to enter my EMPOLYMENT EXPENSES for a Technician job- ie- Union Dues, Clothing, etc. This year, TT only asks if I am a Teacher. Why can't I enter my expenses? Did the law change to ONLY Teachers? Or is this a glitch?

I was able to get to job Employment Expenses by clearing Browsing Cache and History, and then restarting computer and TT.
-W-2 employees cannot deduct job-related expenses on a federal return. Job-related expenses were eliminated as a federal deduction for W-2 employees by the tax laws that changed for 2018 and beyond. Your state tax laws might be different in AL, AR, CA, HI, MN, NY or PA.
If you live in a state that lets you deduct job-related expenses, the information will flow from your federal return to the state return, so enter it in Federal>Deductions and Credits>Employment Expenses>Job-Related Expenses
Thanks for the response, but the problem is I can't enter anything because the first TT Question asks- Are you a Teacher? Once I select NO, the options end. I do file in California, so I would like to input this information. I am NOT able to Enter ANY other information about my Employment Expenses. There seems to be more glitches in TT this year than in past years, especially for this late in the tax season.
