If your financial institution provides tax Information for various accounts on different schedules/dates, or if you have more than one financial institution that you need to get Tax info from and they are all at different dates.
Do you need to wait until you know all the information is available or can you download as they become available ? Will it overwrite or duplicate thins that were already downloaded.
For example Fidelity releases some 1099's in early January and for other accounts for whatever reason other they are not released until the end of February.
If I were to start my Taxes now and use the download option in Turbo Tax to get Fidelity information, obviously it will only be able to get the forms that are done. If I do another download at the end of February will it mess things up. ?
My gut tell me to just wait until I know everything is there and ready but I wanted to get another opinion.
Thanks
