I am really frustrated with TurboTax becouse all my friends filled their tax 2 weeks later than me and they just received their state and federal tax but I filled mine at TurboTax and don’t received yet. I just don’t fell good about this situation. Why all my friends received there and I don’t received mine? I have paid $159.00 for turbo tax and no one answered my call . This was my first and last time that I did my tax at TurboTax

TurboTax does not control the IRS. The IRS is in control of issuing your refund.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2022 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Federal refunds are issued by the IRS not TurboTax. Refunds usually take about 21 days after the IRS has accepted your e-filed return. If the IRS has accepted your e-filed return, you can check the status of your refund by going directly to: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
