Does TT address the stimulus payments (which I did not receive)?

I've read elsewhere that you claim the amount you should have received as a credit but TurboTax does not address this.

TurboTax does have a section where you enter the amount you received or did not receive a stimulus payment.  If you have not filed your return, see the following to enter your information:

You can click on the Federal Review tab, then enter your information for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

OR:  For Online:

You can access your stimulus check choices by following these steps:

  1. on left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  2. At the top of the screen, click on Other Tax Situations.
  3. On the screen Let’s keep going to wrap up.  Click  Let’s keep going.
  4. On the screen Let’s make sure you got the right stimulus amount, click Continue.
  5. On the screen Did you get a stimulus payment?  update your stimulus check entries.

The stimulus questions are asked in the Federal Review section of the TurboTax program.  Any payment you were eligible to receive based on the 2020 Federal tax return but did not receive will be entered on the Federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 30 as a tax credit.  The credit is included in the federal tax refund or it will reduce the amount of federal taxes owed.

The stimulus questions will not be presented if either of the following on are on the 2020 federal tax return -

1.  You are being claimed as a dependent and you indicated you are a dependent in the My Info section of the online program

2.  Your federal AGI on the 2020 federal tax return is greater then the phase out amounts for your filing status

• $150,000 if married filing jointly or qualifying widow(er)
• $112,500 if head of household
• $75,000 if single or married filing separately
