Does the non-free basic version cover unemployment 1099? I prefer desktop over online. I know the free version doesn't allow it because it moved to schedule 1.

So I am trying to decide the best version to purchase. If desktop basic can do unemployment, that will suffice. Otherwise, i need to bump to deluxe.

Yes. All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.

Yes, the Basic version of TurboTax Desktop does include unemployment compensation.

There is no free desktop version of TurboTax. The free version is only available online.
