They take it all ... if you owe less then the excess is refunded.
No one at TurboTax knows how much child support you owe, or how much your refund is supposed to be, so we cannot answer you. The IRS does not share information about offsets to your refund with TurboTax. However they will seize as much as you owe---even if it is the entire refund.

NOTE: You can contact the IRS Treasury Offset Program Call Center at 1-800-304-3107 to ask if they have an offset for you on file. TurboTax would not have that information.

Will it come out of the state return or federal?
Back child support can come out of federal, state or both @danielg1z. The court has to file separate paperwork with the IRS and state to have your refund redirected to pay for back child support.

Ok i think it might get taken out of both state and federal but i read they can't touch the stimulus and child income tax credit? Which in my case i didn't get the whole amount for my 2021 stimulus since i didn't have my dependents info at the time also i didn't apply for the child tax credit early in the year. I'm getting the rest of my stimulus with my refund as well as the whole child tax credit. They won't be touching that right since a law was passed i believe. I know they did intercept my first stimulus but not the second or third.
@danielg1z Sorry---but it looks like you are either not reading or not understanding the replies you have gotten. Your entire refund---including any child tax credit or recovery rebate credit CAN be seized by the IRS or the state if you owe child support or back taxes. There is no part of that federal refund that they cannot take.
