Does anyone have an issue with TurboTax 2024 not running on MacOS 12? My computer won't support v.13. So I have to buy a new computer just for TurboTax?

If your computer cannot support the CD/download, you can still use online TurboTax to prepare your tax return.

The current online software is for 2023 returns.  No one will prepare or file a 2024 return until next year in 2025, when tax year 2024 is over.

If you can’t install the Desktop program you can switch to the Online version.  Then you can transfer your prior year returns from the Desktop program into the Online version.

If you used the Desktop program last year here’s How to transfer into the Online version, expand the blue link if you used the CD/download last year

If you used the Desktop program before you may notice several differences and not like the online version.  It has less features and no Forms Mode.  You can only do 1 return.  Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2023 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done.  In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something.  You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.

@kenkal If your Mac does not support the 2024 desktop software, you can still use the online software program, so you are not being "dumped."

using windows 11 you need the 64-bit version. if it's what you have one thing I can suggest is try installing by using the run as administrator option. if that doesn't work contact support

How can I transfer my turboTax 2024 from download version to online version? I bought turbotax with license code but can not be installed on MacOS 12.7, probably my Mac Air is old. But I do not want to buy a new PC just for TurboTax 2024 tax return.

@sunchi You will need to just seek a refund for the desktop download that you are not able to use on your Mac.  You cannot use the license key for online TurboTax.  You can use online but you will need to pay the normal online fees for doing so.
