documents for medical tax deduction

I am using TurboTax to file a return for my mother who lives in a nursing home.  Her room and board ($93,000) are considered a medical necessity and thus are deductible.  Do I need to include documentation of that billing with her tax return?  Is such documentation attachable to an e-filed return or would i need to file a paper return?

You do not need to give proof of an expense when e-filing or printing a tax return for mailing.  Just keep your documents stored in case the IRS questions those expenses.
