Yes sorry. In the Desktop program it is currently 24.99 to efile EACH state return including the first one. Or you can print and mail state for free. And be careful, if you have the state fee deducted from your refund there is an Extra 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge (44.99 in California). So pay with a credit card.
What you got for free was one state program download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then if you have to file a return in a different state you have to buy another state program for 44.99.
see above

It's hard for anyone to respond since you have posted 4 times in this thread and said very little other than that you mailed your Federal return. So no one knows your situation. This is an old thread from last year and concerns the 24.99 state efile fee in the desktop software (CD/download).
What product are you using--Online TurboTax (web version) or the desktop software (CD/download)? If the desktop software, which edition--Basic, Deluxe, Premier, or Home and Business?
And what is your issue??
If you filed your Federal return by mail, then you must file any state return by mail as well. You cannot efile a state return if you filed the Federal return by mail.
@levneuro What version do you have? You need to be using the Desktop program Deluxe or above that comes with a state return. Click on the State tab. If you mailed Federal you will have to mail state.
Are you on Windows or Mac? How to download the state program in Windows…..

I purchased Deluxe for tax year 2019 federal and state returns
