It is not necessary to indicate in Turbo Tax that you received a Corrected 1099-MISC. Just input the correct information on the form. The IRS will get a copy of the corrected form and match the information you entered. Please keep both copies of your 1099-MISC for your record.

If your tax return has already been accepted by the IRS, then you'll need to file an amended tax return to report the corrected Form 1099-Misc. You'll need to wait until your original return has been processed and you've received your refund (if applicable).

When you're ready to prepare your amended tax return, please follow the directions below to prepare your amended tax return in TurboTax.

Once you've prepared your amended tax return in TurboTax you'll need to mail it in as e-file is not an option for this type of return.

File an amended return (already filed prior to receiving ) the corrected  1099misc (ignore the original 1099misc) ?
