Did you already e-file that return?  The online software is ONLY for 2018.

As stated above, the online software is for 2018 only.  If you had started a 2017 return using the online software, here are the instructions for completing that return.  It will have to be filed by mail no matter where or how you prepare it.

How do I finish a prior-year return that I started in TurboTax Online?

And if you have not started the 2017 return, but need to file it, you can use the desktop software (2017 version).  Here is a link to prior year products.   File past years' taxes for 2017

You now have a problem.  Online is only for 2018.  You have to wait and see if your efile gets accepted.   If they reject it for something you can change it around to be for 2018.

But if they accept it you need to wait some more for it to fully process and you get the first refund.  Then you need to Mail in an Amended 1040X return to change it to be for 2018.

You can check your efile status here     <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/">https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/ef...>

And how to amend.  Amended returns can only be MAILED not efiled.

Then You still need to do 2017.  To do 2017 you have to buy the Desktop Download program here

Don’t forget your state.  And you will have to print and mail your returns.  So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
