The page in TT24 Premier that addresses Nondeductible IRAs has a problem. The program offers two choices: YES or NO. Either choice should be followed by selecting the CONTINUE button. However, when CONTINUE is pressed, the program does not advance to subsequent pages. The program does allow one to go BACK or to select other areas in TT, but not this topic. This needs a fix soon.

Testing this in Premier just now, I was able to Continue (program hesitated for a moment) to the next page, Let's Find Your IRA Basis.
If your issue persists, you could make your entry in FORMS mode, or you can Contact TurboTax Support for more help.

I am having this same issue. I press the "continue" and it will not advance. I'm using the Home & Business version.
This issue is made worse by the fact that it does not create an error code. When I run "Smart Check", it says "Congratulations! We reviewed your federal return and found no errors". Because "step by step" does not lead me to the input screen where you enter the value of your IRAs at 12/31 24, TurboTax is taking almost the entire basis of my nondeductible contributions into taxable income. In my case, it's about a $4,500 error.
I can't believe TurboTax is recommending going into the form itself to do the input or override. I would be OK with that answer if this situation had created an error. And then an entry on the form got rid of the error. But that is not the situation here. The obvious danger here is that the uneducated taxpayer will think that "step by step" has led them through all the input necessary for Form 8606. And when "Smart Check" says they have no errors in their return, they will file their returns.
I think TurboTax needs to get this corrected quickly before e-filing begins on January 27th.
Thanks.

Okay, I finally got the "continue" button to work. Before I would press the "continue" and then just sit and wait. In prior years, there would be a bit of hesitation and then it would move to the next input screen. This year I would press it, wait about 45 seconds with no luck. Then I would press it again, wait 45 seconds, no luck. And then do that same thing over and over.
Well, I was on the phone with a TurboTax tech support person and he put me on hold to escalate this issue to a Tier 2 person. So, while on hold, I just kept pressing the "continue" button over and over again with virtually no pause between pushes. And after about the 20th push, TurboTax suddenly moved into the next input screen.
I firmly believe the software got tired of resisting me and finally let me through to the next input screen. Fearing the program would seek retribution at some future date, I immediately entered the information I needed to and saved the file.

Finally got this to work: several clicks of the CONTINUE button and a long (~25 second) wait resulted in the program advancing correctly. Subsequently I was able to make entries as desired. When same option appeared for spouse data entry there was no hesitation on clicking CONTINUE. Thanks to all who replied. I consider this issue closed for now and will revisit if it reappears as prep of submission continues.
Yes, I have encountered the same issue with the non-working data entry for Nondeductbile IRAs.
When can we expect Intuit to address and correct this issue with TurboTax. Thank you.
