Problem with medical expenses worksheet line 2e Taxpayers gross long term care premiums: review says it is marked "Estimated" but its not. The sheet does not show that item as estimated, but review insists that it is. How to fix? Have received replies form "Employee Expert" but the recommendations did not help. Anyone have suggestions?

You can fix that in Forms Mode. I am guessing you are using the desktop software. You can right click on the field and select Unmark as Estimate...
Thanks for the reply, however that doesn't work. Right click on the entry does NOT indicate an estimated entry. It only appears as an estimated entry when I run the Federal review. Right clicking that entry on the federal review screen does NOT indicate an estimated entry. Hence my frustration. I think its a program problem.
Go into Forms Mode instead of trying to do it through the interview. Click on Forms in the upper right corner, then go to the Medical Expenses Worksheet in the list of Forms. From there, you should be able to right click on Line 2a and remove the 'estimated' indicator.
I've tried fixing it in Forms mode and I've tried fixing it in the interview and I've tried fixing it in the Federal review. The line does NOT indicate that it is an estimated amount. I've even tried forcing it to estimated in the forms view and then resetting it back to NOT estimated. All to no avail. the review still insists that it is estimated. Moreover, while in forms view the medical worksheet has a "not done" notice in parentheses, and it has a red exlamation mark to the left. When I click the form it takes me directly to the entry that I'm having trouble with and when I right click that entry it does NOT show as estimated. Any other suggestions?
Oh, I went one step further. I checked the same form in my 2020 TT submission and it has exactly the same entry. That form never signaled that it was estimated because, of course, it was not! In fact I've been making that entry on that form for over 20 years and never encountered this issue.
When in Forms Mode, is the amount on Line 2e in red italics (if not, what is it?), see my screen image below. In my example, I have an estimated amount on 2e, the amount is in red italics and when I right click, I have the option to ''Unmark Estimate''. Make sure you are right-clicking on the correct field, it is easy to accidentally select the line above or below the one you are trying to edit.
Here is what I see. This entry reports as "Estimated" in the Federal Review. Additionally, note the red exclamation to the left of the form listing panel. When I click the form it takes me directly to the entry shown in the image below. It is not marked "Estimated".
Still having this problem. No solution in sight.
Ok, there is something else I would like you to try. When you are in the interview mode and at the Long-Term Care premium question, try the Edit button at the top menu. Is it estimated there? If so, unmark it. If it is not an estimate there, go back to Forms Mode to the Medical Expenses Worksheet and click on the Errors button, it should take you to the entry causing the issue. What field does it take you to?
If that doesn't work, can you send a screenshot of where you are seeing the error in the Review? That may help to trigger other possible solutions. Thank you!
I had the same issue with receiving an error saying something was marked "estimated" in my medical expenses even though there was nothing marked estimated. I went back to the interview form and marked each entry "estimated" and then Unmarked each entry estimated. It fixed the problem.
