It looks like other posters were able to get through shortly after you. Could you try again and make sure you have granted third-party access for TurboTax to import those forms? You can also take a look at the different help articles I have posted below to see if they resolve your issue. If none of these articles help, please respond back here and let us know:
What if I can't import my 1099?
How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax Online?
I tried again to import my tax documents from Schwab and still the same problem. i.e. error message on login.
Please see the TurboTax FAQ's below for assistance logging in and importing your 1099's from Charles Schwab:
@SuzanneGy
My settings at Schwab are set to on for 3rd party access. I have turned it off and on again just to test it. No change. What I see is people on the Mac have a fix, but I am on Windows. The error message is: Login is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or call customer support. But I get this after I logged in and have agreed to the disclaimer from Schwab. I have tested the credentials manually by using them to log in at Schwab.
Thanks for your message, but the error prevails.
I am using a PC not a mac.
It is still a problem for me.
I have tried all the steps you recommended. Please advice.
I also have had problem importing Schwab data into TurboTax. Then, I tried to import the data using my old computer and had no problem. Therefore, I believe importing Schwab data is not compatible with Windows 11 but works with my old Windows 10 computer.
Still not working even if change Schwab log on password as o 2/27/2022. Is there anything else try to fix this?
Try this:
Step 1: Log in to schwab.com with your browser. Do not autofill with a password manager. Copy paste your login and password from wherever you have them stored or just type them in if your password manager is a post-it.
If Step 1 gets you into the site then you can be sure the problem is not login and password. If you cannot log in that way then fix your login and password.
Step 2: Close TurboTax.
Step 3: Re-start TurboTax
Step 4: Go to the download area and start the process. It may ask you to log in the intuit.com to make sure you are authenticated.
Step 5: Login to schwab.com from TurboTax
Step 6: Select what accounts you want to download data from.
That should do it.
same problem, Schwab only, all other institutions work
same problem. Any work arounds? Too much data to enter manually.
Still not working on my Mac. Is it ever going to get fixed?
Think I will request a refund and go with another tax software provider like HR Block.. inability to transfer data at this time in tax season is ridiculous.
Agree, maybe go with HR Block
