I purchased turbo tax 2022 for windows. I loaded the software on an HP laptop with windows 11. The software loads, but when I try to activate the software by typing the license code nothing appears in the license code box.
I disabled the real time virus scan while the software was loading, but the same response occurred when I tried to activate the software
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Try closing the TurboTax program, then close all open programs. Re-start your computer and then open the TurboTax software again and see if you can enter the license code.
You may also try a copy and paste of the code, use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste
If still unable to enter the code, contact TurboTax support for assistance.

Also make sure your OS is fully up to date ... reboot your computer at least once to make sure they are all installed and try again.

I thank you for your suggestions, but neither corrected the problem. I was unable to copy & past into the license code box.
According to Windows 11 update the OS is up to date. I check for updates daily. But, when I ran the program Belarc Advisor it said I was missing one critical update. Windows update lists the critical update as successfully installed. ????
