This is the first year I came across this as I've always used myTax Illinois for filing. It seems something changed this year? I have the IL pin I've always used but wasn't asked for it. I'm not a resident and that seems to be the reason. It says I need to submit he state return with federal return using a tax software or do the paper method. If I had known this, I may have selected to have TurboTax do my state but I've already filed the federal as usual. Does anybody have information about this change in Illinois? A heads up from TurboTax would have been nice. I was so looking forward to getting this behind me today.

Hi Mike9241,
I'd like to ask as you may possibly know the answer to this question.
If I file taxes in My Tax Illinois and pay taxes there, do I still need to file when I file Schedule C in 2025 for my 2024 tax return?
Thanks!
Sam
it seems Illinois is not yet ready for 2024 filing. whether online prep using MTI will be available is unknown at this time. you can try contacting them
