Can't e-file amended state return

Hello,

I needed to amend my 2021 return because I missed a form, and Turbotax did allow me to amend the return (I selected amend return from main screen and made the necessary changes).   I was also able to e-file my federal return, which was accepted shortly after submission, but Turbotax did not apparently e-file my amended state (California) return.  On the "Check E-file Status" screen it shows, "Your 2021 Federal Amended Return" has been Accepted, and "Your 2021 California Return" (not "Amended" Return) has been accepted.  When I went through the e-file process for the amended return, TurboTax seemed to just skip over the State e-file process even though I owe additional money to California based on the amendment.  Also, in the email I received from TurboTax after the e-file indicates that only returns sent are "2021 Federal Filing."  I assume this means my amended 2021 return.

So now I am confused.  Did TurboTax submit my amended State and Federal returns, or do I need to mail in the amended State return?
