Can i still file my 2017 taxes

A 2017 tax return can be e-filed using TurboTax at any time on or before October 15, 2018.  After that date the 2017 can return can only be printed and mailed.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

I'm in a similar situation.  I started my 2017 taxes in TurboTax, but did not complete them.  I tried to download TurboTax software to complete the return offline, but I only find software to Amend a Tax Return.  Can I use the Amend Tax Return TurboTax desktop software to complete my 2017 return and file it?  If not, is there anyway to complete my 2017 return using TurboTax?  I understand I have to file the return by mail once completed.

You cannot use the amend software. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2017 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device).

If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.

They are available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday - Friday Pacific time.

When you complete your 2017 return, it has to be filed by mail.  When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS and/or your state received the return.
If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline.  If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax

So I've done and printed my 2017 returns, and now see that my NY State return must be efiled.  Is it still possible to efile my 2017 return that I have created through the desktop software?
