If you are an employee and receive a W-2, then you will not be able to deduct your mileage your 2018 tax return. Under the new tax law, employee business expenses are not deductible.
If you are a subcontractor and receive a 1099-Misc, then you will be able to claim your mileage as a business expense on your schedule c.
