Can i just file federal

Im ready to file but its saying i need to pay for state even though i didnt fill it out. How do i fix that?

Can i just file federal

To not pay for state you have to delete it.  You can add it back in later but you will have to pay.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301384
