Is the install process on multiple computers the same as 2022? In other words, can I insert the CD, install the activation code to activate it, and then give it to another family member, and they insert the CD and use the same activation code to activate it on their computer?
I noticed a new line on the back of the CD package, "Limit of ONE account per license code." Not sure if that was different from 2022 as that statement did not appear on the 2022 package.

The TurboTax user license allows one user to install copies of TurboTax on up to five computers that the user owns. You can also prepare multiple returns, including returns for other people. But the license does not allow, and has never allowed, one copy to be shared among different people. This year, that license is being enforced by requiring users to log into their TurboTax online account when they install the program for the first time. This locks one particular copy of the program and one license code to one user account. The only way you could install the program on a computer that you do not own, would be to give the other person your online username and password. And even though that workaround might allow the installation, it’s still a violation of the license.
Yes, you can install TurboTax on up to 5 computers that you own. You must use the same User ID on all the installations for the license code.
Is the activation/install process different from last year? You can't simply give it to your partner or friend along with the program key? You must now own the computer?

The license for the TurboTax software has Always indicated that you can install the software on up to 5 computer that You Own.
So in 2023 you have to enter the USER ID and PASSWORD (plus the key code?) for every computer you install the software?
Prior to 2023 you did NOT have to enter the user ID and password? Is that correct?
I'm okay with giving someone my user ID but not the password. Personally I do not want a family member to have access to my personal Turbo Tax account. Or is a password not required on additional installations?
Bottom line is, what are the changes to install TT on more than one computer.

I am trying to install my 2023 TurboTax on one of my laptops and it is asking for a new key. Screen message validates I have one of five active.
I have the same problem. Did your problem get fixed?
Please call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
But If I own two laptops and I install the software in both, last year I was able to efile 5 returns in each computer, is this the same for 2023?
If you’re not a licensed tax preparer, you can’t e-file more than five tax returns. That’s the limit set by the IRS.
