You still need to claim the unemployment. If you did not receive your 1099-G form, then get the information needed to file from your state unemployment website.
the problem you face is that if the UC you received is in excess of the exclusion you will owe taxes on it. omitting the taxable portion from the return will result in you needing to amend (may be needed anyway if the taxable amount is wrong), a 5% per month penalty for late payment of taxes + interest.
