Yes, you don't need to get an actual 1099Misc. Enter it as Cash or General Income.
How to enter income from Self Employment
This does not make sense to me. I did not receive cash or check. I never received a 1099 because all my clients paid me through PayPal business.
I did not receive a 1099 from Paypal because I didn't met their requirements of making at least $20,000 AND had over 200 transactions.
Which is why I am still stuck. The few CPAs I did inquire to a few weeks ago said I do not have to have my clients EIN to file my taxes even though they paid me through paypal.
However, turbotax won't let me file until I enter my clients EIN number.
I am very confused.
You need to report all your income no matter how you get it. You need to report it from your own records. Just report the grand total as Cash. You don't need any 1099 tax form or anyone's EIN number. Only the total income goes to schedule C line 1. It isn't broken out by payer or how you got paid.
If you want you can enter the payer name and amount in Turbo Tax just so you have a backup record of them. But only the total goes on your tax return.
