Can I e-file again with an itemized 1099-B (instead of a summary) to remove the need to mail in an 8949

I noticed after I e-filed that I need to mail in a 8949 because I used a summarized 1099-B. Will entering an itemized one and re-filing remove the need for me to mail in anything ?

Once you e-filed a return, you cannot refile the e-filed return.  It would have to be an amended return which would need to be mailed in.

The easiest way at this point is to mail the Form 8949 into the IRS.
