Can commissions not received be claimes as a loss on taxes/
Company my wife was representing went bankrupted and she did not get commissions on several items sold and delivered, thus a loss of income. Is that a realized loss for taxes.

No, unless it was reported as income on a 1099-Misc and you can't get a corrected version. Since it is an income tax, you merely report the income you did receive.
