Just posting here as a FYI since there is no place to formally report a bug.
On the easy step, when you are on the input screen for investments (interest, dividends, cap gains from stock sales), there is a button that says taxes on capital gains. IT SHOWS WRONG INFO, so ignore it. IF you want to know that info, go to forms, qual div/cap Gn worksheet and it will provide the correct info. For me, even though the cap gain number was nonzero, the easy step kept showing zero for taxes on cap gains!
Very tired of the poor way intuit treats their customers.

you mean the box right at the bottom of the redesigned screen with those big horrible 1099 boxes, all the way down there, at the bottom, scroll, scroll, "See your capital gains and tips to reduce the tax you pay on them"
It's correct to me on both my real return and test thing. But useless either way. Based on the horrendous redesign of this page I'll be hanging out in Forms mode.
You are correct in that the redesigned screen is horrible. What use are the huge 1099 boxes except to make it impossible to see everything. I hit delete and the screen greyed out. It took a while to figure out that the apply button was not at the bottom of the long screen but at the top so you need to scroll all the way to the top to apply! Awful design and the numbers are wrong for me.
