Box 15 employer ID is blank on my W2

If you live in a state that does not have income tax, you should make sure that all the boxes in the state section on TurboTax are completely blank.

If the employer's state ID number is not listed on your W-2 (and you live in a state that does have an income tax), you can enter the federal ID number (EIN) in box 15.

Unfortunately, Turbo tax just loops back to File by Mail or Fix Federal Return. You can no longer put in the Federal ID in box 15 and still file electronically, unless someone else knows of a solution.

Is there an amount in box 14 for state income taxes withheld?  If not, leave box 14, 15 and 16 blank (empty)
