Bonus non taxed

Hi- we received a bonus that was just a regular check- no 1099, no taxes taken out. Where do I enter this? Thanks.

Yes, because this bonus was not reported on a W-2 or Form 1099-MISC, you would enter this under Wages & Income >> Less Common Income >> Miscellaneous Income as "Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099."

  1. To find this section in TurboTax Online:
  2. Click the Federal Taxes tab.
  3. Scroll down to Less Common Income at the bottom (you may need to click on "Skip to show all income" first).
  4. Scroll to the last category, Miscellaneous Income and click "Start."
  5. On the next page, click "Start" beside "Other income not already reported..."
  6. Follow the prompts (skip any entries that don't apply to you) to the page titled "Enter Source of Other Income" (see screenshot below - click to enlarge).
  7. Check the box for "Employee compensation..."
  8. Read each screen carefully and enter all information to report the income you received.
