Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Yes, because this bonus was not reported on a W-2 or Form 1099-MISC, you would enter this under Wages & Income >> Less Common Income >> Miscellaneous Income as "Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099."
- To find this section in TurboTax Online:
- Click the Federal Taxes tab.
- Scroll down to Less Common Income at the bottom (you may need to click on "Skip to show all income" first).
- Scroll to the last category, Miscellaneous Income and click "Start."
- On the next page, click "Start" beside "Other income not already reported..."
- Follow the prompts (skip any entries that don't apply to you) to the page titled "Enter Source of Other Income" (see screenshot below - click to enlarge).
- Check the box for "Employee compensation..."
- Read each screen carefully and enter all information to report the income you received.
