TurboTax fees are based on what product is used to prepare the return, plus any add-on features. Folks using Free Edition do not qualify for phone support but have other options. You appear to be using Live Deluxe, an optional feature which adds additional expense. In the Live products, you are paying extra for on-demand live help from a CPA/EA expert, and that product also includes a review of your return prior to filing. It can be removed if you want to use regular Deluxe (without Live). I'll also tell you about the IRS Free File options that you may qualify for.

Were you required to upgrade from Free Edition to Deluxe because of something in your return and then ended up with Live Deluxe?
If you don't qualify for the TurboTax Free Edition (which is for very simple returns--essentially a Form 1040 only without any additional forms and schedules), and if you want a free product, you could consider the products offered by providers through the IRS Free File site. TurboTax no longer participates in the IRS Free File program, but there are other providers. Some of them include free state returns as well. When evaluating a provider, make sure your state is included, if applicable.
