1) ...For a Windows system, a cumulative OS update was just issued....and if partially-installed that Windows update screws up TTX. So make sure any Windows updates are fully-installed and rebooted.
2) If #1 is OK, rt-click on the TTX icon and select "Run as Administrator" and see if that works
Are you on Windows? You might need to update Windows first. Either finish installing the Windows updates or get the latest windows updates. That has fixed it for other people.
Answering my own question, several frustrating hours later, I finally uninstalled TT, then reinstalled and now it works. Very frustrating when it failed only when I clicked the last button and then would not let me finish.
