Attaching Schedule A to a 1040-SR Tax Return

So why did the Turbo Tax print it as part of my Return to be mailed???

Does the Filing Instructions indicate that the Schedule A is be included with the mailed tax return?

Are you sure you are getting the standard deduction?  What is the amount shown on the Schedule A Line 17?

What is your filing status?

Standard deductions for 2021

Single - $12,550 add $1,700 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Separately - $12,550 add $1,350 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Jointly - $25,100 add $1,350 for each spouse age 65 or older
Head of Household - $18,800 add $1,700 if age 65 or older

No, the Schedule A is not included with your tax return if you are only getting the Standard Deduction.

Yes, I printed "All official forms required for filing".   I am filing Married Filing Jointly.  My Sch A Line 17 $ 23,255.00.  The Standard Deduction will be $25,100 add $1,350 for each spouse age 65 or older (my spouse is 67) so deduction should be $ 26,450.00.  The Schedule show on the printing list under the State of California return.  ???

The CA return seems to require copies of the Form 1040 and Schedule A.  The Schedule A would not be required with the federal tax return.
