Simply issue the other person a 1099MISC for what you've paid them and that will be included as an expense on your Sch C, and they will claim it as income.

If you are self employed you don't have an "employer".  Are you getting reimbursed for expenses or parts you bought?

Yes my employer and I shared in commissions from  a life insurance company .  I was overpaid 50k and had to write a check to my employer.  How do I report this payment so that I am not taxed on money I didn't recieve?

How are you being paid from the Life Insurance Company?  As an employee with a W-2?  Or an Independent Contractor with a 1099-MISC?
