I'm at my wits end.  I have an IRS issue with my 2022 tax return.  I tried to open my TurboTax 2022 to view my return information but when opening it forced me to accept the latest install, I tried to refuse but it forced an update.  The update will not let me open my 2022 without error codes.  It will also not let me open the backup copy.  It will not let me generate a new return from the 2022 file also.  I can open my 2021 tax.  I filed using Turbotax online and paid for audit protection.  I logged into my TurboTax account to get their copy on my 2022 tax and they show no record of my 2022 tax.  THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT TURBOTAX.  WHAT THE H.

Sounds like you need to uninstall and then re-install the 2022 software.  This will not affect your tax data file for 2022 as it is in a different directory than the TurboTax program.

Updating the software to the latest release will have no effect on your 2022 tax data file.

What error codes ?  Can you start a new blank 2022 return?  You might need to download the state program first.  After you get the program installed or reinstalled the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW). Enter some basic information, then go to the state tab and download the state program. Then try to open your existing return, go to FILE - OPEN

And you should have a pdf file of your return so you don't need to open it in the program to view it.  

But wait,  You used the Online version to file 2022?  Then did you download the 2022 tax file ending in .tax2022 and install the Desktop program to open it?  Then you do need to first download the state program.
