Abandonment of LPR Status

I am a UK citizen and we (my faimily and I) lived in the US with a Green Card since Septmber 2017. We left the US at the start of 2021 and filed i-407 in 2023 and received the confirmation in August 2023.

I have filed my taxes throughout my time in the US and in 2023 filed a 1040-NR for both my wife and I.

My question is do I need to file anything for 2024? We have a small amount of shares in the US, a bank account with a small amount of money, and the reminants of a health savings account (HSA). As I no-longer have any right to live in the US do I need to make any US filing..?

If you would need to file a return, then you would need to again use a 1040NR which TurboTax does not support but our partner Sprintax.com does. They will be able to help you with or IF you have any filing requirements due to having a HSA.

If you gave up your Green Card status and no longer are a resident of the US, then you do not have any filing requirements unless you earn money in the US or from US sources.  Sprintax.com would be able to guide you as to whether or not you have to file when you sell your investments or do anything with your HSA.
