45 Days Later and No refund Received

My Tax Return was accepted by the IRS On 01/31/2022.

Where's my refund website indicated my refund was direct deposited on 2/9/2022.

Its March 15th and I still have no recieved anything.

Called my bank to confirm no deposit was made or rejected.

Finally spoke to someone at the IRS who said my refund Direct Deposited to Green Dot Bank, because I filed with Turbo Tax and requested fees be taken from my return.

I check TPG Status website, it shows my refund status as : Unfunded : TPG has not recieved any funds from the IRS.

I am at a loss, IRS says to call the Bank but no one at the bank answers.

I email their support email and get no response.

This has never happened before and I have filed with TurboTax in previous years.

Unbelievable how money can just be floating around out there and no one can tell me anything, obviously like most people I am depending on this refund and not being able to get any answers is unacceptable.

Definitely wont be taking the risk to use this service moving forward.

All you can do now is, wait. At least you know that the IRS has your filing. It does not matter who sent your 1040 to the IRS. The IRS is the sole destination for tax returns. No one has discovered a way to make the IRS speed up sending out refunds. No one ever will because the IRS is an overwhelmed, over worked, under funded and under staffed government bureaucracy. Eventually you will get the pay off of your no interest loan to the government.

Have you thought of paying just enough by estimates or withholding to avoid a penalty and let the government wait for your check?
