2024 What-if form to estimate 2025 taxes. I cannot change the standard deduction

Hi,

I am trying to use the "what if" form to estimate next year taxes. I cannot change the standard deduction for 65 old people (17,750) and include the seniors' bonus.  Does anyone know how to do it.  The line does not allow changes, or I don't know how to do it.  I copied column one to column 2, and I was able to change income, interest and input RMD, but could not make changes to the deduction line.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sorry--TurboTax is not going to re-write the 2024 software to change the "what -if" feature for the newly passed tax changes.   You cannot change the standard deduction or put in the extra senior deduction using the 2024 software.    The 2025 software will become available in late November and will require many updates.

The 2024 program has not been updated with the new 2025 changes.  And it probably won't be.  You can  use some work arounds like subtract 6,000 from some income for it, if you qualify for the senior deduction.
