As of 2/4/2025, Turbotax doesn't allow me to print or e-file NJ taxes. Does anyone know when the process will be ready? Is this a NJ problem or a Turbotax problem?
Thanks.

It depends on what forms you have. Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available, both for print and eFile. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.
NJ 1040 standard form was updated and available on Turbotax on 2/7/2025. I was impatient and went to the NJ state portal and was able to do it there at no charge - including a direct deposit at no charge. I would have preferred to use Turbotax and hope they are able to post updated NJ forms earlier next year.
I still can't print New Jersey 2024 State Tax Forms. The Turbotax says the forms are not ready yet. When will I be able to print?
I have the same problem. We should get a refund!
This is a workaround another state found that works.
As a possible work around, see this post in community from last year: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/discussion/successfully-printed-south-carolina-2023-in...
After Tax Returns have been submitted to Fed & SC State
To save and/or print both Federal & SC state return after filing:
Launch Turbo tax and select "continue" your return
Go to Forms view
Scroll down to SC state form "Estimated Wks" (this is form SC1040ES)
Scroll to part III (rounding and printing options)
Select " Do not print vouchers"
Click on Print Center at the very top of the screen
On "What Forms Would You Like to Generate?
Select "Forms to review or keep..."
Select "Tax Return, Key Calculation Worksheets
You should be able to print and save as PDF
The PDF File Saved/printed will include both Federal & SC State Returns all in one.
Click File Save before exiting program.
This does not work for NJ. Still can't view save or print .pdf of return.
Same here on 2/12/25. Turbotax doesn't allow me to print or e-file NJ taxes. It looks like all forms are available on the NJ.gov site. Don't know what the Turbo Tax hold up is.
I agree - this does not work for NJ. You can't even see a pdf to print
In TurboTax Online, go to Tax Tools > Print Center in the left-side menu (you may have to scroll down a bit to see it).
You'll need to pay for your return, then you'll get a screen asking what forms you want to print. Click on View or Print Forms (screenshot).
A separate window opens, displaying your tax returns. Click the little disk icon in the upper right corner (screenshot).
Choose to save the file to your Desktop as a PDF (default). You can still work on your return up until you actually Efile, but this will give a PDF to review at this point.
A way to view a summary of your State Return is go to Tax Tools > Tools in the left-side menu, then choose View Tax Summary from the pop-up menu. Back at the left-side menu, choose your State Tax Summary.
Here's the most recent list of New Jersey Forms.
