The solution posted to entering 1099-INT does not work. No matter what I do, TT2024 skips all mention of 1099-INT and goes to 1099-B

It is possible to type in the information from Form 1099-INT without importing it, even though the steps you have to take are not prominent on the screen. Try using the steps in the following TurboTax help article.
Where do I enter Form 1099-INT?
Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program?
Are you using the Desktop program? I know it’s changed. To start, at the bottom of the screen to type in your bank to import there is a little blue button to Skip Import. Then if you get the list of Interest and Dividends there is a pencil icon on the right by each one to edit it. And now they list ALL your interest, dividends and investments mixed on 1 list.
For Desktop.....when you click on either Interest, Dividends or Investments from the main first income list you get ALL your 1099 forms listed mixed together. You need to go to the bottom and click on +Add Investments
And one user said, I notice some icons in that 1099-INT/DIV/B section of the desktop product appear or not, according to whether I'm signed-in to the desktop product and have an active Internet connection.
I don't like the new way at all. Too many clicks and screens to click on and go through. Go to the bottom and +Add Investments, then import or skip import, THEN....should be a screen with 5 boxes, pick Interest, Dividends, Stocks Bonds Mutual Funds, Cryptocurrency, or Other
2024 Desktop Premium treats new returns and return transferred from 2023 differently.
The new returns allow 1099s (including 1099-INT) to be easily entered manually.
The returns that were transferred from 2023 (which had 1099-INTs from 2023) do not work properly. At the point where 5 boxes show up, I click on the 1099-INT go to skip import, and the program goes in error to a screen for importing a different type 1099 (1099-B) which was not selected & where it won't allow me to continue or back up.
I already know the steps that are supposed to allow manual entry of 1099s and they do work, but only if I have started a new return.
You can delete the information transferred and then enter the current year manually. Here's How to Update or Delete Imported Data.
Will TurboTax fix these obvious bugs with one of the updates to the software?
