Hi,
I've been using the desktop Windows version of TurboTax Home and Business for years, I'm thinking about switching to the Mac version - are there any features or limitations in the Mac version?
Thanks,
Tony

No. Mac is the same. Both Windows and Mac programs are on the CD. You use the same tax file ending in .tax2020 on both so you can transfer from one to the other. So just copy the .tax2020 file from the PC to Mac to transfer into 2021.
The only limitation I know of is if you need to prepare W2 and 1099 for your employees the Mac Home & Business only uses the Online Quick Employer Forms and doesn't have the built in W2/1099 Reporter.
Oh, and the Mac program automatically checks for updates when you start the program so you can't turn that off like in Windows.

I don't have a MAC, but I believe @VolvoGirl uses a MAC, as does @macuser_22 and they may be more familiar backwards compatibility. Can something like the TTX 2018 software, be successfully installed and used on the most current MAC OS or not. Like, does something as recent as TTX 2018, run on OSX 12.0.1 ?
....we have yet to see what happens with Windows 11 and whether there are issues with it's backwards compatibility....but my current W10 system still has an operational 2013 software set from when I first installed it on this computer.
I removed a bunch of stuff in my original comment above...I'm really not a MAC person and shouldn't free-think too much.
Certainly, if you do switch, make sure you create PDF files of all your old tax years on the Windows system, and back them up off-computer. Two copies for each year. 1) filing copy only and 2) the big extended copy with all forms and worksheets.
