I can’t remember if I filed 2018 taxes.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you aren't sure if you filed, you can request your tax transcript from the IRS. If you didn't file, you can get the information to file your 2018 tax return from the transcript.
I filed with you for 2018 and I do not have access to that file. How do I get that?
If you used TurboTax Online:
You can access your prior year returns using the Documents tab in the navigation.
When you sign in, make sure you're using the same TurboTax account (with the same username) as in prior years.
Want to download your customer data including your prior year returns? Sign in to TurboTax and select Intuit Account to access all your data in accordance with our updated privacy policy.
If you prepared your tax return with a TurboTax software CD or software download, your tax returns are stored locally on the computer you used to prepare the return. Unlike TurboTax Online, we don't maintain returns prepared in the TurboTax CD/Download software on our secure servers.
To locate your return, use your computer's Search or Find function, just as you would when searching for any other document. If you just need to view or print your return, we recommend doing it from the PDF copy, which will open in Adobe Reader.
You can also search for the tax data file (instructions below), but you'll need to open it in the same-year version of TurboTax (e.g. open your 2019 return in TurboTax 2019, not an earlier version). From there, you can print a copy of your return, as well as update or amend it.
Finally, if you can't find your tax return but you know you filed one, you can always request a copy from the IRS.
